Wilhelmina Bay : An awe-inspiring introduction to the Antarctic Peninsula. Cracks even within an iceberg. Perhaps a sitting dog with bushy tail or resting head encrusted in the ice?
Point Wild, Elephant Island : In 1915, Shackleton’s boat was crushed by ice whilst approaching the landmass and the crew had to escape in two rowing boats. He had to leave the majority of his crew on Elephant Island whilst a small group rowed to South Georgia, the nearest inhabited island 800 miles away to get help. The Chilean navy rescued all those on Elephant Island after surviving 4 months of winter. Kneeling animal of your imagination.
